Jewelry care and cleaning
Saona jewelry is individually handcrafted with care, following traditional and artisanal jewelry techniques. This way, all pieces are unique, may have slight variations, and might not be exactly identical. However, we work according to our designs, striving to ensure our customers receive the piece they desire. All pieces are made of 925 sterling silver, sometimes oxidized or gold-plated. Silver is a durable metal that undergoes a natural oxidation process, but it is superficial and can be easily removed. Follow these tips to encourage this process and care for your jewelry.
- try to keep your jewelry separated to avoid scratching each other.
- store them in their original packaging or in a place that prevents contact with the environment, water, cosmetics, corrosive cleaning products… all these factors cause alterations to the metal and make it darken faster.
- to clean your jewelry, use a soft brush with water and neutral soap or baking soda. when finished, dry it thoroughly with a cotton cloth.
